Notes
The Omas Granada Limited Edition is the second edition in the Le Città collection dedicated to Granada, Spain, and its iconic Alhambra palace. This edition celebrates Andalusia, a region historically shaped by diverse cultures and Arabic influence (Al-Andalus), which produced traditions like flamenco and distinct architecture. Andalusia's strategic location between the Atlantic and Mediterranean made it vital to Spanish history, serving as Christopher Columbus's departure point and main link between Spain and the Americas. The Alhambra, a 1984 UNESCO World Heritage Site, symbolizes Granada and the highest expression of Andalusian Art. The Granada Limited Edition captures the palace's artistry with precious enamels and exquisite engravings, featuring intricate geometric patterns and vibrant colours on the barrel, reflecting the famed azulejos and Arabic-style ornamentation.
The presentation box is a symbolic invitation to the Alhambra, featuring its entry portal. Its plexiglass shutters also allow it to function as a display case, enabling the pen to be exhibited upright.
The fountain pen was produced in a limited and numbered edition in two variations: 300 examples in 925 sterling silver and 12 examples in 18K gold.
