A fine and rare, limited edition fountain pen. Omas 1997 Return to the Motherland: Limited to 1997 pieces. The barrel and cap are made of 925 sterling silver and red resin, featuring a high relief design of two dragons of a mother and child emerging from a pattern resembling a silk, alongside a heraldic emblem that includes a dolphin and the Bauhinia flower, a symbol of Hong Kong, supported by the dragons on the barrel. The cap displays elegant water fountain patterns, with “Return to the Motherland” engraved around a red enamel Bauhinia flower on the top. The band encircling the cap integrates the “Great Wall of China”, the OMAS logo, and four ideograms mean “Return to the Motherland” in Chinese. The skyline of Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour is embellished in high relief on the barrel band. The clip is made of rhodium-plated metal, and the two-tone 18K gold calligraphic nib features an inlaid dragon’s head and is engraved with “Hong Kong 1997”.

Notes
The Omas 1997: Return to the Motherland collection was launched to commemorate Hong Kong’s return to China and has received authorization from the Association for Celebration of the Reunification of Hong Kong with China.
The design incorporates various motifs to symbolize this momentous event, including the mother and child dragon which represents the intimate relationship between China and Hong Kong; the Chinese pink dolphin, symbolizing unity and the prosperous future; and the “Lucky Bank of China” on the Victoria Harbour skyline, completed on the most auspicious day of the century - the eighth day of the eighth month of 1988.
