Omega ?Speedmaster 125?, Automatic Chronometer, No. E 400, movement No. 35075079, Ref. ST 178.0002 / 378.0801. Produced in a limited edition of 2000 examples to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Louis Brandt/Omega in 1973. Fine and rare, self-winding, water-resistant, tonneau-shaped, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with date, round button chronograph, 12-hour register, central minute counter, telemeter, 24-hour night/day indication, and a stainless steel articulated Omega bracelet with deployant clasp. This watch is sold with a box, a Certificate of Authenticity, and a 2-year Omega guarantee.

C. Two-body, polished and brushed, screw-down case back with embossed Speedmaster logo, outermost telemeter scale graduated to 19 kilometers, reverse-painted on the sapphire crystal, hooded lugs. D. Matte black with luminous indexes, inner Arabic five minutes, outer minute/fifth second scale, subsidiary dials for the seconds and the 12-hour register, the 24 hours with night/day indication by means of an arrow on a revolving disc, 60-minute register by means of a white central ?jet? hand, aperture for the date. Luminous white ?baton? hands. M. Cal. 1041, copper-colored, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 42 x 52 mm.Approx. overall length : 185 mm.

Notes

Ref. ST 178.0002 / 378.0801 launched in 1973, was produced in a limited edition of 2000 examples. Production was divided into five groups of four hundred watches each. The watches bore an individual number, i.e. ?E 400?. The letters A through E designated the group, while the number indicated the watch?s position within the group. These numbers were very lightly engraved and have a tendency to disappear during servicing or with wear. The present watch, bearing the number ?E 400?, is therefore the last ?Speedy 125? to be produced.
