C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", polished. D. White enamel, Dauphine numerals, outer minute/seconds divisions divided into fifths, outermost fifth second timing scale, sunk 30-minute register and constant seconds. Gold "spade" hands. M. Cal. 19??? SOB S, frosted gilt, 3/4-plate, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, "swan-neck" micrometer regulator, the chronograph work is set on a separate plate fastened to the back plate. Dial, case and cuvette signed. Diam. 53mm.

Notes
Omega was one of the first watch manufacturers to employ a modular system in the manufacture of
chronograph movements. This allowed them to use various non-chronograph movements, while adding a
separate plate with all of the chronograph work to the back plate of the movement. This system, which is
widely used today, was revolutionary at the time.
