Sold: EUR 26,000

The De Ville Hour Vision was not designed overnight; it is the result of 159 years of experience. A perfect example of how a vast and rich heritage such as OMEGA?s can make dreams come true, the red gold case is a revolutionary feat of engineering, enhancing the visibility of the meticulously-crafted movement through four translucent sapphire lateral-openings. Most striking is the grooved rhodium plated hour track complemented by elegantly faceted solid gold hour markers. Light catches the diamond-polished facets of the hour markers as the central seconds hand sweeps around the dial. The refreshingly unadorned black dial with sun-brushed finish features facetted gold hands with delicately-polished sides, while the matt black alligator strap features highly distinctive and original red gold stitching to match the case. OMEGA?s exclusive in-house manufacture calibre 8501 is at the heart of the Hour Vision. Replete with technologicallyadvanced features, the new manufacture movement is a COSC-certified chronometer comprising 201 completely new components. It features an upgraded version of the Co-Axial technology guaranteeing prolonged timekeeping accuracy and reliability over time. The watch comes in a special presentation box. Reaction to the Hour Vision range, showcased at this year?s Basel fair, has been quite extraordinary with respected horological periodical Chronos awarding OMEGA an unprecedented 94 points out of 100 in its own independent test.
