Three-Tone Dial Omega Chronograph Omega, Genève. Case No. 9978490, movement No. 9388728. Made circa 1942. A very fine and extremely rare Staybrite stainless steel wristwatch with olive button chronograph, 30-minute register, tachometer, and pulsation and telemeter scales.
C. Three-body, inclined bezel, curved lugs, snap-on case back and Omega crown. D. Two-tone silvered dial with black Arabic numerals, outer minute and 1/5th seconds divisions, outermost tachometer graduated to 700 units/hour, raised inner white division with green pulsation scale, innermost with red telemeter and blue base 1000 scale, subsidiary guilloché dials for the constant seconds and the 30-minute register. Blued steel feuille hands. M. Cal. 33.3, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut and compensated bi-metallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 37.5 mm. Thickness 13.5 mm.
