OMEGA - 24 HOUR DAY AND NIGHT DIAL Omega, movement No. 6327399, case No. 7153287. Made circa 1910. Fine and very unusual, silver, keyless pocket watch with 24-hour day and night dial with points of the compass to Swiss patent No. 30613.
Four-body, polished gilded bezel, band and border, the back cover engine-turned and with a central foliate cartouche with engraved initials EL. Hinged silver cuvette engraved with the prize medals. White enamel, the lower half in a darker tone to indicate the nightime hours, radial Arabic numerals, inner red supplementary numerals 1-12, outer minute track with the four points of the compass in red, outer minutes individually numbered 1-9 between each red 10-minute numeral, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold poire hands. Cal. 19 LB, matte gilt, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed, the case with Swiss and German silver marks.
