Notes

Omega Speedmaster - Apollo XI 1969 Especially made to mark man's conquest of space. A special numbered series of 1014 pieces in solid gold bearing the engraving "Omega Speedmaster - Apollo XI 1969 - The First Watch Worn on the Moon" and a number between 1 and 1014. This series was launched at the end of November 1969, in tribute to the sensational exploit of man's first landing on the Moon. An initial series of 50 to 100 pieces was produced, followed by subsequent series until a total of 1014 pieces was reached in 1973. 39 of these watches were offered to the astronauts and public personalities of that period, No 1 to President Richard M. Nixon and No 2 to Vice-President Spiro T. Agnew.
