Notes

The ref. BA 145.022 Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Apollo XI 1969 was created to commemorate the Apollo XI mission and the first moon landing. As the very first limited edition Speedmaster ever produced, it became quite the trendsetter. This historic timepiece was also the first solid gold Speedmaster, crafted from 18K yellow gold with a distinctive burgundy bezel inlay.

A limited production of 1,014 pieces were made, with the first 32 models specially engraved with the names of their recipients and the text «to mark man’s conquest of space with time, through time, on time.» Models numbered 33 and onwards do not feature this special engraving. The presented example bears the limited number 248 and remains in overall good condition with matching signs of wear and usage.
