Notes

Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 38 mm. THICKNESS 13 mm. Approx. overall length 160 mm. Ref. CK 2914 was launched in 1957. The second in the famous Omega "Master" trilogy of watches, the "Railmaster" was aimed at professionals who worked near magnetic fields. The name "Railmaster" was chosen to reflect Omega's longstanding relationship with the railways. Indeed, in the early days of train travel, the high degree of precision achieved by Omega's watches led to their being preferred by many of the world's railways. A very few examples such as this one, were made with the name Flightmaster on the dial and on the caseback and its rarity is further enhanced by the fact that the watch was delivered to the Peruvian Air Forces, making it one of the rarest Railmasters available.
