Stainless steel, manual-winding, tonneau-shaped, gentleman’s wristwatch, water-resistant with screwed case-back, bezel with black insert, black colour dial with subsidiary seconds at 9 and three horological complications:
• 1/8 second chronograph (activated by the two round push-pieces) with tachometric scale graduated on the bezel for 500 units per hour
• Half-instantaneous 30-minute recorder (subsidiary dial at 3 o’clock)
• 12-hour recorder (subsidiary dial at 6 o’clock)

Part of the 1997 “Speedmaster” “Missions” series, the “Speedmaster Professional Missions Apollo 11” bears the Apollo XI insignia at 9 o’clock, commemorating the first moon landing, a mission accomplished from July 16 to July 24, 1969, by Neil A. Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin E. “Buzz” Aldrin.
A total of 50 examples of the “Missions” suitcase with all 22 “Missions” models and one ‘57 replica were created: five stamped “HC” (hors commerce), five stamped “EV” (épreuve d’artistes) and 40 examples numbered for collectors (01 / 40).
Between 100 to 150 unnumbered watches were available for purchase separately.
