In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Speedmaster in 1997, Omega launched a set of 40 suitcases containing 23 Speedmasters. Pieces were not sold individually but this piece has obviously been removed from one of these sets making it a rare opportunity to acquire a single piece limited to 40 examples.
