Notes

These early large pilot chronographs were part of the initial development of wristwatches. With a large 46 mm case featuring a single-button chronograph at 6 o clock fitted with a large multi-scale enamel dial, this example is fitted with the same caliber as the famous "Lawrence of Arabia" watch sold by Antiquorum in 2000. Rarely found with mint dials, such as this example, these are historical timepieces in the history of wrist chronographs.

Provenance

Property of a British collector
