Notes

Property of a Swiss family
According to ‘A Journey through Time’ by Marco Richon, and illustrated on page 577, these large counters were mainly used during sporting events such as boxing, weight lifting, water-polo, hockey etc. A similar model was used during the 1948 London Olympics. These were made in small numbers and rarely come up for sale and are extremely decorative.
