SPRING TIME Charles Oudin, 52 Palais Royal, Paris, No. 1355, circa 1880. Very fine gilt brass, Limoges enamel and silver hour and half-hour striking carriage clock with alarm
Gilt brass and silver, side panels Limoges painted on enamel representing a fruit picking lady, the other with a flower picking lady, glazed on top. White enamel with Roman numerals and subsidiary alarm setting dial on reverse. Blued steel Spade hands. Brass eight-day going with single double-ended going barrel for both the going and the striking trains, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued steel flat balance spring. Signed on the dial and the side of the plates. In very good condition. DIM. 15 x 10 x 9.5 cm., excluding the handle.
