Notes

Among all the watches made by Patek Philippe with perpetual calendar, only the earliest are not fitted with the indication of the phases of the moon. Apparently very few were made before the introduction of the moon phase aperture. The only one recorded in Martin Huber & Alan Banbery: Patek Philippe pocket watches, is a very early "Grande and Petite Sonnerie" clockwatch, No. 27210, sold on January 1870, fig. 221 a- c, pp. 238 and 239.
