Patek Philippe & Cie, Geneve, No. 198098, case No. 605969, made in 1927 for Grogan Co., Pittsburg, PA, sold on 31 August 1937. Extremely fine and rare cushion shaped, "tortue", 18ct gold gentleman's wristwatch with single button split-second chronograph and register, with certificate.

C. shaped, massive, polished, satined, lapidated bezel, additional later gold back. D. mat silver with painted Arabic numerals and indexes + vertical auxiliary seconds and 30 minutes register dials. "Feuille" blued steel hands. M. 13 "' rhodiumed, "fausses cotes" decoration, 32 jewels, lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance adjusted to 8 positions, Breguet balance-spring, visible split-second system. The winding-crown is also for start-stop and return to zero functions of the chronograph, The single button at 2 o'clock controls the split-second hand only. The slotted slide-piece situated between the winding-crown and the push-button is used to completely block the use of the chronograph mechanism. Dial, case and movement signed.
