?Quarter Repeating, Early Keyless Winding? Patek Philippe & Co., Geneve, No. 24137, case No. 24137. Made in 1864, sold on February 9, 1865. Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold, quarter repeating, keyless hunting-cased pocket watch. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
C. Four-body, ?bassine et filet?, engine turned and polished, the front cover engraved with the monogram ?IH? beneath a Marquis?s coronet, the back cover centered by a quatrefoil rosette, flat-topped winding crown. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel ?Breguet? hands. M. 43 mm., 19???, frosted gilt, bar caliber, 17 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature and meantime adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Cuvette signed. Diam. 52 mm.
