C. Four body, "bassine et filets", fully chased in high relief with a scene of a stag surrounded by hounds closing in for the kill. Hinged gold cuvette with engine-turned border. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and offset sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet bands. M. 18"', gilt brass, bar calibre 19 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Signed on the dial, cuvette and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 46 mm.

This watch is fitted with the first stem-winding system designed by Adrien Philippe (French patent No. 1317 of April 22, 1845), without the possibility of turning the crown anti-clockwise during winding therefore this watch incorporates the highest technologies for the tinte in the field of horology among which are important features such as the straight line lever escapement and the stemwinding system.
