Patek Philippe & Cie., Genève, No. 161216, case No. 278545, made for Brock & Company, Los Angeles, Cal., in 1911, sold on 18 November 1913. Very fine 18 ct. gold keyless pocket chronometer with power reserve indicator, awarded the third prize at the Geneva Astronomical Observatory timing contest in 1911.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine", polished. Gold cuvette engraved with the awarded prize. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds and halfmoon sector for the 30 hours, up-and down scale. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 18'"" Extra quality", rhodium plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 21 jewels, counterpoised straight fine lever escapement, brass-invar Guillaume balance, eight adjustment by C. Batifolier, Breguet balance spring with swan neck micrometric index. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In very good condition, with photocopies from the records of the timing contest. Diam. 50 mm.
