Patek Philippe & Cie., Genève, No. 109856, case No. 223714, made for Shreve, Crump & Law Co., Boston, circa 1900. Very fine 18 ct. gold keyless pocket chronometer awarded a bulletin at the Geneva Astronomical Observatory timing contest in 1899.

C. Four body, massive, "demi-bassine", polished. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer red Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M.18"' " Extra quality", nickel plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 21 jewels, counterpoised straight lire lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, "Extra" adjustment by C. Batifolier, blued steel Breguet balance spring with Patek Philippe patented micrometric index. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In very good condition, with photocopies of the records of the timing contest. Diam. 47 mm.
