Notes

Note: this watch is the most prestigious model of "World Time" ever produced by Patek Philippe. Beside the time zone complication, it bears a chronograph with pulsometric and asmometric scales, Breguet numerals. It also has, for "World Time" watches of this period, a size out of the common. It was made on special order, in 1940, for Dr. P. Schmidt in Geneva. No other similar watch was ever seen in the market and never published. This work is mentioned as "a unique piece" in "Patek Philippe Wristwatches" by Alain Banbery and Martin Huber, page 72. This "World Time" system was invented by Louis Cottier and produced for Patek Philippe, Vacheron & Constantin, Agassiz and Rolex.
