"Split Seconds Chronograph For Tiffany" Patek, Philippe & Cie, Genève, movement No. 97100, cased and retailed by Tiffany & Co., New York. Made in 1893, sold on November 10, 1893. Very fine, keyless, 18K yellow gold and enamel pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
C. Four-body, ?demi-bassine?, solid, polished, rectangular pusher on the band at 11 for the split-seconds function, the back cover with a red and gold ?champlevé? enamel monogram. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with painted Breguet numerals, outer minute and 1/5 seconds divisions with red Arabic 5-minute/seconds numerals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Cal. 19''', maillechort, ?fausses côtes? decoration, 23 jewels, straightline counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 54 mm.
