Patek Philippe & Cie., Genève, No. 111689, case No. 224363, made for Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co., Philadelphia, circa 1904. Very fine and rare, 18 ct. pink gold, minute repeating, keyless, moon phase, astronomical watch with perpetual calendar and split seconds chronograph.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine", polished. Gold cuvette with an engraved dedication dated 1904. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph ring, subsidiary dials for week days, the months, the dates with inner subsidiary seconds, aperture for phase and age of the moon. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 19-, nickel plated, " fausses côtes" decoration, counterpoised, adjustable straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, "Spécial" adjustment, blued steel Breguet balance spring with swan-neck micrometric index. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Chronograph with visible work and push piece on the winding crown, split seconds push piece in the band. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 55mm.
