C. Three body outer, "bassine pincée", fully engraved in a feather pattern and chased with scrolls and flowers. Inner four body,"bassine et filets", fully engraved with a decoration matching that of the outer case, a branch of foliage chased on the back Gold cuvette, engine turned on the border. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and offset sunk subsidiary seconds (hair line). Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 16-, gilt brass. bar caliber, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement "à moustaches" of an unusual design, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Earliest type of stem winding as invented by Adrien Philippe (French Patent No. 1317 of 22 April 1845). Signed on the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 49 mm.
