Patek Philippe & Co., Genève, No.48196, circa 1879, sold to Tiffany & Co., New York, on 3rd. June 1881. Fine and very rare 18 ct. pink gold keyless split-seconds chronograph watch with off-set dial.

C. Four body, massive, "pomme et gouge", with enamel initiais HL M. Gold cuvette. D. White enamel, concentric Arabic minute and 1/5th. ring, small Roman hour ring and subsidiary seconds. Blued-steel "spade" hands. M. 18-, 3/4 plate nickelled with "fausses côtes" decoration, 24 jewels, adjustable counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet spring. Visible chronograph work with split mechanism under the dial, the let-off push in the crown, split button in band with locking boit. Signed Tiffany on dial and movement, Patek Philippe mark in case. In excellent condition. Diam. 48mm.
