Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 111689, case No. 224363, made for Bailey Banks & Buddle Co. Philadelphia, sold on the 1.8.1900. Rare and important 18-carat pink gold "triple complication", moon phase astronomical minute repeating watch with perpetual calendar and split second chronograph.
Massive four body "bassine" polished case. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute and second rings, moon phase aperture with its age on the edge, subsidiary dials for days of the week months, calendar with inner running seconds. Blued steel spade hands. Fine 19"' nickel movement "fausses-côtes" decoration, 37 jewels, equilibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, "special" adjustment, Breguet balance-spring with swan neck micrometric index. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band, chronograph with push piece on the winding crown, split second push piece and locking bolt on the band. In very good condition. Diam. 53 mm.
