Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 191000, case No. 416637, made for Henry Graves Jr., New York, sold on the 29.8.1930. Awarded first prize at the Geneva Astronomical Observatory timing contest 1929-1930, with 783 points, with the photocopy of the Observatory contest report. Very fine 18-carat gold pocket chronometer.

Massive triple body "demi-bassine" polished case with invisible hinges; the Henry Graves coat of arms engraved on the back. Gold cuvette with engraved dedication and Awarded prize. Gold dial with Breguet numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. High grade 19''rhodium plated movement, "faussescotes" decoration, bearing the Geneva quality hall mark, 21 jewels, central gold screwed setting, equilibrated straight line lever espacement, brass- Invar Guilaume balance, blue sapphire endstone, three heat and cold isochronism and five position " Extra" adjustments by Henri Wehrli, blued steel balance-spring with terminal curve, swan neck micrometric index. In mint condition. Diam. 50 mm.
