Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 866579, case No. 2785414, made in the 1970's. Magnificent 18-carat gold and enamel diamond-set minute repeating moon-phase astronomical watch with analogical perpetual calendar. In original mahogany case.

Massive "bassine" blue enamelled case with "paillonné" decoration, scrolls engraved on the back and the band. Gold cuvette. Silver dial with a translucent blue enamel over engine- turning, diamond-set indexes, moon phase aperture with the signature engraved on a gold plate, subsidiary silver dials "en réserve" for the days of the week with inner 24 hours indication, the months with inner leap year cycle and the calendar with inner running seconds. Gold "bâtons" hands. 17' rhodium plated movement "fausses-côtes" decoration, 20 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance with screws and self compensating balance-spring with swan neck micrometric index. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band. In mint condition. Diam. 55 mm. Provenance: Th. Beyer Collection.
