Chronograph Patek Philippe & Co, Geneva, No. 65266. Made for the American market circa 1880. Very fine 18K yellow gold, keyless, hunting-cased pocket watch with chronograph. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.

Four-body, ?bassine et filets?, engine-turned covers with polished borders, milled band, chronograph button between 4 and 5 o?clock for the stop/start and return-to-zero function of the chronograph. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and fifths of a second divisions with Arabic five minute/seconds numerals. Blued steel spade hands. M. 19???, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 21 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, visible chronograph work. Dial and movement signed Patek Philippe & Co. Geneva, case numbered, cuvette erroneously numbered 68266. Diam. 54 mm.
