First Class Certificate from Geneva & Kew Observatories Patek Philippe & Co., Geneva, No. 132655, case No. 239405, sold to M. L.M. Sedisick Esq on 8th December 1910. Very fine and rare, large, silver keyless pocket lever chronometer with 36 hour power reserve indicator and Guillaume balance. Awarded First Class Bulletin from the Observatory of Geneva and a ?Class A? Kew certificate from The National Physical Laboratory, Kew, England. Awarded the second prize at the Geneva Astronomical Observatory timing contest 1908. Accompanied by a fitted mahogany deck box, outer mahogany box, original Patek Philippe receipt and two Kew ?Class A? rating certificates, and Second Prize certificate.

Matte silver with radial champleve Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and sector for the 36-hour power-reserve below 12. Blued steel spade hands. M. 21???, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-Iine lever escapement, anibal-brass Guillaume balance with gold screws, eight adjustments by C. Batifolier, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan neck micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 60 mm.

Timing Contest: - Mean average daily rate +/- 0"24 - Restart period + 0"14 - Error of compensation per degree C +/- 0"036 - Mean error in 6 positions +/- 0"35 In the Geneva trials, with 240.6 marks, this chronometer ranked 39th out of 160 having received over 200 points. The first one was 268.4 and the last one 201.4, the maximum possible being 300 points. In the Kew trials, the watch had an overall variation rate of 10.5 seconds. It was awarded 75.8 points, ?Class A?. The total possible number of points was 100. According to the invoice, the price of this watch was 1300 Francs and it was sold for 1220 Francs. A discount of 15 francs was given for the mahogany box and another additional discount of 65 francs was also accorded.
