Minute Repeater Patek Philippe & Co, Genève, No. 47998. Made in 1881. Fine and rare, large and heavy, minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold, hunting-cased pocket watch with independent stopsecond chronograph. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives.
C. Four-body, "demi-bassine", polished and engine-turned, hinged gold signed and numbered cuvette, inner cover stamped PP & Co, repeat slide and chronograph button to the band. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic numerals at 5 minute intervals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. M. 19''', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance-spring with overcoil, index regulator, repeating on two coiled steel gongs. Case stamped, cuvette signed and numbered. Diam. 55 mm
