P atek Philippe Five Co-Axial Hands, Central Instantaneous Minute Recorder Patek Philippe & Co., Genève, No. 65880. Made for the American market in 1884, sold on December 30, 1884. Very fine and extremely rare, 18K pink gold, keyless pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph and instantaneous 60-minute register using a central hand. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
C. Four-body, bassine, polished. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute track and concentric chronograph ring with fifth of a second divisions, Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gold spade hour and minute hands, blued steel minute recording hand. M. 19???, rhodium plated, fausses-côtes decoration, 25 jewels, counterpoised and calibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Split seconds chronograph with visible steel work, released by depressing the winding crown and with push piece in the band. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 53 mm.
