White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gold spade hands. M. 40 mm. (18'''), Cal. 18o, gilt brass patented bridge caliber, 21 jewels, gold train, straight line moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, Wilmot's patented micrometric cam regulator. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed. Diam. 48 mm.

Chronometro Gondolo Gondolo & Labouriau in Rio de Janeiro were important Patek Philippe retailers starting in the 1870s. From 1902 on, the company produced a specially designed, very high-quality caliber, called "Chronometro Gondolo", exclusively for Gondolo & Labouriau. Its specifications required: - that the ebauche be based on Adrien Philippe's patented design US patent o. 20483 of Jan 13, 1891 - a 9K gold train - a straight line "moustache" lever escapement with cut bimetallic compensation balance and Breguet balance spring - a minimum of 18 jewels - François Wilmot's patented micrometric cam regulator US patent 129197 registered on July 16, 1872.
