Notes

In early 1970, a Japanese collector discovered Patek Philippe at the Mitsukoshi department store. In Japan at the time, Patek Philippe was known only to a small number of elite collectors. In the 1980's, the collector was invited to the Patek Philippe headquarters in Switzerland, where he visited the factory and had dinner with Mr. Henri Stern. This unforgettable experience confi rmed his love for Patek Philippe watches. He was especially fascinated with pocket watches, and purchased the following lots as objets d'art. They therefore have remained in virtually new condition over the years, having never been used or handled.
