Patek, Philippe & Cie., Genève, No. 12247, made for J.C. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia, circa 1855. Fine 18K gold hunting-cased watch, accompanied by a gold Breguet style key.
C. Four-body, ?bassine et filets?, both covers finely decorated with vermicelli pattern, bezels and band in geometrical pattern, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring, fixed by screws at 3 and 9 o?clock. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 36 mm., gilt brass bar caliber, 15 jewels, straight line ?moustache? lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, flat balance spring. Signed on the cuvette. Diam. 42 mm.
