White enamel inscribed ?Andrew Crawford Chicago?, with Breguet numerals, outer minute track, outer red Arabic fi ve-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. M. Cal. 20''', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 31 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, counterpoised and calibrated straight-line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed, cuvette and movement also signed by the retailer.

The present watch is a large-size minute-repeater in very good condition. Andrew Crawford was a famous capitalist and for many years the western agent of Drexel, Morgan & Co. By the time of his death in 1900 he was earning the then enormous sum of $30,000 per annum
