PATEK PHILPPE SILVER & PINK GOLD POCKET WATCH FOR GONDOLO Patek Philippe & Cie., Genève, movement No. 153011, case No. 256517. Made for Gondolo & Labouriau, Relojoeiros, Rio-de-Janeiro, circa 1909. Fine and rare, silver and pink gold, keyless pocket watch.

C. Four body, bassine, polished bezel and band, engine-turned back, pink gold hinges, collar and hand-setting button. Hinged silver cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute track and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold spade hands. M. 20???, gilt brass, 15 jewels, wolf ?s tooth winding, straight line lever escapement à moustaches, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed. DIAM. 53 mm.

Patek silver Chronometro Gondolo?s are particularely rare. Interestingly they are complimented by beautiful pink gold accents on the bow, hinges and crown. Only two other examples have been offered for sale by Antiquorum ; March 17th, 2013, lot 450 (movement No. 153133), the other (No. 153183) in 1999 at the Art of Patek Philippe sale, 13 years ago.
