PATEK PHILIPPE SINGLE BUTTON CHRONOGRAPH Patek Philippe & Co, Genève, No. 48239. Made in 1881. Fine and rare 18K pink gold, keyless pocket watch with single button chronograph.
Four-body, "bassine et filets", polished, hinged case back and cuvette, chronograph safety slide in the band, cuvette engraved: "John H. McFadden, Philadelphia, August 22nd, 1881". White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer 1/5th seconds divisions with Arabic five minute/seconds markers, subsidiary seconds dial. Gold Louis XIV hands. Cal. 19''', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 21 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette signed.
