Made for Gondolo & Labouriau, Relojoeiros, Rio de Janeiro, circa 1908. Very fine, large, 18K pink gold keyless Chronometro Gondolo pocket watch. Accompanied by the original Patek Philippe fitted box, Certificate and spare crystal.

Four-body, "bassine", polished, engine-turned back with foliate monogram "JAB". Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute track and sunk subsidiary seconds. Pink gold spade hands. 47 mm.(22'''), frosted gilt patented bridge caliber, 21 jewels, wolf 's tooth winding, gold wheel train, straight line "moustache" lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, Wilmot's patented micrometric cam regulator.

Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed, cuvette also signed by the retailer. DIAM. 56 mm. An example of a Chronometro Gondolo in extremely good condition with crisp case and perfect dial. The excellent state of preservation is due to the survival of the original numbered Patek Philippe box, furthermore the original certificate is included and confirms the guilloche case back with monogram J.A.B.
