Notes

Dial, case and movement signed. DIM. 32 mm. square. THICKNESS 8.5 mm. The present watch is of very large size for a watch of this early period and therefore extremely rare and still eminently wearable even today. Furthermore, the case is of very solid construction with "officer" type lugs with screwed gold bars. The dial is a very subtle pale gilt color and under magnification seems to glitter with flecks of gold. The Extract from the Archives confirms the date of manufacture in 1919, the square case in yellow gold and the gilt dial with Dauphine numerals. A very similar wristwatch is illustrated in "Patek Philippe Genève", Huber & Banbery, 1988, p. 86.
