PATEK PHILIPPE SOLAR CLOCK MABLE DIAL Patek Philippe, Genève, "Pendulette", No. 874580, case No. 2140. Made in the 1970s. Fine and unusual, hevy, solar-powered, gilt brass and marble table clock with electrically-wound remontoir. Accompanied by a service paper.
Brushed brass, 4 square columns, top with solar cells, marble sides, hinged back door. Marble and gilt brass, gilt brass chapter ring with black radial Roman numerals. Gilt brass Breguet hands. Based on a 17''' Gondolo keyless mechanical movement, 29 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold and 1 position, solar-powered with lithium battery back-up, driving a remontoir train which replaces the barrel spring.
