PATEK PHILIPPE HUNTING CASED MINUTE REPEATER PINK GOLD Patek Philippe & Co., Genève. No. 80401, case No. 201642. Made for Merrick, Walsh and Phelps, St. Louis, MO circa 1890. Very fine and rare, minute-repeating, 18K pink gold, keyless, hunting cased pocket watch.
Four-body, bassine et filets, polished, reeded edges. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track with red Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds with red Arabic numerals. Gold Louis XVI hands. 19''', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 23 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold timing screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
