PATEK PHILLIPE RETROGRADE PERPETUAL CALENDAR ENAMEL AND YELLOW GOLD Patek Philippe & Co., Geneve, No. 27134, case No. 27134. Made in 1867 and sold on September 29 1867. Very fine and extremely early, rare, astronomic, 18K gold, keyless, hunting cased pocket watch with perpetual calendar and moon phases. Accompanied by Patek Philippe box and the Extract from the Archives.
Four-body, "bassine et filet", polished, front cover with a blue enamel animal engraved,back cover with blue initials FDS engraved. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the months, retrograte date, aperture for the day and moon phases. Blued steel "Spade" hands. 42 mm., 19 ''', frosted gilt bar calibre, 17 jewels, wolf's tooth winding, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature and meantime adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Case and cuvette signed, movement mumbered on the frontplate.
