Notes

A similar watch is published in "Patek Philippe Wristwatches", by Martin Huber and Alan Banbery, 1998, p. 112.Gondolo & Labouriau - Rio de Janeiro - BrazilAbout 1915, a special type of movement was used in certain wristwatches commissioned by the firm Gondolo & Labouriau in Rio de Janeiro. This type of watch, which was sold under the name of "Chronometro Gondolo", had the following technical details: "moustache" lever, excentric micrometric regulation, in the version patented in 1881, and a wheel-train of 9K gold. The square socket in the barrel-arbor always found in the Gondolo pocket-watches, is not always present in their wristwatches. The "guiloché" cases and enamel dials were comparable to those often used by Patek Philippe at that time.
