Notes

During the Second World War and the years immediately following, extremely high duties were imposed on watches imported from Switzerland to France in the various colors of 18K gold and platinum. In order to maintain their relationship with their French clientele, Patek Philippe entered into an agreement with Guillermin, Paris, their French representative, whereby the French company received finished movements from Patek Philippe and cased them according to French tastes, with typical French saoir-faire.This watch is a particularly fine example of their collaboration.
