Notes

This watch, interesting for its near mint condition and decorative motif, is also one of the earliest Patek & Co watches. The last known serial number bearing the Patek & Czapek signature is 1161. The watch with the next serial number (1162) bears the Patek & Co. signature, making this watch the 248th made by the new company. Nicolaus Copernicus (1473-1543) who countered the prevailing geocentric theory, is considered the father of modern astronomy.
