Patek, Philippe & Cie., Genève, No. 12247, made for J.C. Caldwell & Co, Philadelphia, circa 1857. Very fine and unusual 18K gold hunting-cased lady?s pendant watch.
C. Four-body, ?bassine et filets?, vermicelli engine-turned, bezels and band decorated with repeated pattern, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, secured by two small screws. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 36 mm. (16???), Cal. 4, frosted gilt, 15 jewels, straight line ?moustache? lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with flat balance spring. Signed on the cuvette. Diam. 42 mm.
