Patek Philippe & Co., Geneva, No. 80688, made for H. Wachhorst, Sacramento, circa 1885. Very fine and rare18K gold keyless watch with split-second chronograph.
C. four-body, "bassine", gold hinged with inner "sunburst" damascened, split-second button at 11 o'clock.D. white enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute and chronograph rings with Arabicfive-minute/seconds markers, sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 42.8 mm (18?', nickel, half plate, "fausses côtes" decoration, 21 jewels, calibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws Breguet balance spring, chronograph mechanism on the back plate, split-seconds mechanism under the dial.Dial and movement signed by Patek Philippe, case and movement signed by the retailer.Diam.52.7 mm.
