C. four-body, "bassine", polished, back with crest and motto ?In Cruce Salus? (Salvation in the Cross, gold hinged cuvette with inscription ?J.D. Eggleston, Dec, 25, 1918?. D. white enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute track, five-minute/seconds red Arabic markers, subsidiary sunk seconds. Gold ?Louis XV? hands. M. 40 mm. (18''', rhodium-plated, 31 jewels, 8 adjustments, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, "swan-neck" micrometric regulator, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band. Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 47 mm.
